“ Went for breakfast whilst staying for the week in whitby. Nice warm morning so sat in their delightful courtyard. Lady was quick to sit us and give menu's. Bought cold tap water whilst we we choosing. Good choice on menu, even allowed swops for people nit liking certain items. Overall food, drink and service excellent and would definitely return if in Whitby again. Hidden gem. ”
“ We’ve visited Rusty Shears a few times now. Do not go here if you want fast food! Tea is served properly in China tea pots with loose leaf tea. The menu is varied but the breakfasts ( and bacon butties) are really good. They are dog friendly and when I asked for an extra sausage they asked if it was for our dog and fetched out two cool sausages cut up ready for our dog. On our last morning in Whitby we walked past Rusty Shears and our dog turned a sharp left straight into their courtyard! She is a fan as well ! ”

“ A regular place my wife and I frequent when we are in Whitby. The food is hot, freshly cooked and very, very tasty. The coffee is full bodied and large and the tea is made by using tea leaves, something of a rarity nowadays. It is a very comfortable place to sit and watch other customers eat, drink and chat about their day. The service is not too obstrusive and allow time from entry to order at an acceptable time period. We will be back, next time we are in Whitby. Thank you. ”
